I hate when people just use loops, instead of putting the effort in to make something original. I make my own stuff, check it out. I used to use FL but now use CUBASE

We do however offer a podcast service of electronic mixes
Usually DnB, Dubstep, Breaks, or House, but we do some other stuff too.

Tonight on N3XUS we will be celebrating the birth of even more new features around the site.

Firstly on our "Now Playing" page: http://www.nexusradio.co.uk/requests/ we have introduced a little feature at the top that gives some more information about the artist, if we have it some album art will display, and also if we have been supplied links to where people can buy the album this will display as well.

Also links to omd's websites etc will be displayed... pretty fantastic stuff even if i do say so myself.

ON TOP of all that there is something even more SPECIAL! What can be more special than that I hear you ask? Well... I have introduced a simple RATING system so that people can rate the tune that is playing, or that they request (http://www.nexusradio.co.uk/requests/
playlist.php?limit=100
) out of 5!

So in addition to our top 100 requests chart we also have a top 20 by User ratings chart (that I will make bigger once we have had more ratings): http://www.nexusradio.co.uk/requests/t op20rating.php

We have also just started SCROBBLING To LASTFM so you can see if you have been played and how many times each song you have played has played.. however this has only just been set up and i had a problem where it scrobbled the same track multiple times for some reason.. but once all the DJ's have this simple little feature set up the artists played should even out a bit. Since setting this up we have already played 746 different artists!!!!

To see the last FM page: http://www.last.fm/user/N3XUSRADIO - ADD us as a friend!!!!

So we technically have 3 charts!

TOP 100 Requests: http://www.nexusradio.co.uk/requests/l ivechart.php (only available with active/auto DJ currently)
TOP 20 By User Ratings: http://www.nexusradio.co.uk/requests/t op20rating.php (only available with active/auto DJ currently)
LAST FM CHART: http://www.last.fm/user/N3XUSRADIO

All exciting stuff eh?

Well anyway i hope you will come experiment these features with me tonight from 8PM GMT (3PM EST) till about midnight.

As many of you know Nexus Radio has been hosting a SONG OF THE YEAR competition, and the nomination stage has now finished. If you would like to see if you got any nominations and how many you got please follow this link: http://www.nexusradio.co.uk/forum/view topic.php?id=512&p=5 and read the 2nd to last post on that page.

I'd like to thank everyone who has participated this far, and I am hoping for even more participation NEXT YEAR, however the competition is not over yet, and the prizes are still to be WON.

The way the nominations worked is if a song was nominated only once it was in the "bottom segment" twice it was the "middle segment" and 3 or more times it was available for "Song of the Year" - we are still waiting for more votes...

In the top section you can only vote for ONE track, however in the middle and bottom sections you can vote for whichever tracks as you like in a multiselect poll.. but you can only vote once.

Top: http://www.nexusradio.co.uk/forum/view poll.php?id=939
Middle: http://www.nexusradio.co.uk/forum/view poll.php?id=938
Bottom: http://www.nexusradio.co.uk/forum/view poll.php?id=937

Due to one contestent cheating we have had to turn email verification back on so if you haven't signed up already you will have to.. and if you use hotmail or something like that you will have to check your JUNK email folder regualrly for the email. If you dont get it you will have to send me a message and I will activate your account manually!

Ignore all votes for any Pyramis Track.. they are the once who have been disqualified for creating 25 accounts and voting for themselves lots. Aparantly it wasn't them it was one of their brothers thinking they were helping, which is understandable that it happenes however it has to be understood that this competition is a bit of fun on the internet and your getting prizes, no matter how small, for just playing some great music.. and with all the time i spent tallying up results and making the polls it has to be understood that there is to be no leanancy to any sort of cheating in any way shape or form!

---<:|Prizes|:>---

Song of the Year: all tracks will be ranked - Prize of a custom made T-Shirt goes to number 1!
Song with most nominations: top 3 - Buttons/Bumper Stickers
Artist with most songs Nominated: Top 3 - Buttons/Bumper Stickers - Number 1 gets Nexus Radio Mug
Artist with most nominations: top 3 - Buttons/Bumper Stickers - Number 1 gets Nexus Radio Mug
Artists with most votes in middle and bottom sections: top 3 - Buttons and Bumper Stickers

Well i have been away from newgrounds for a very long time.

This place used to be a home to me, i used to love watching allt he flash toons, and then i found the forums and got envolved there and started making flash.

My flash sucked, and didn't really improve at all, and i got into making tunes. I created a new account as Then came about the audio portal, though i was still new to writing tunes and posted alot of crap and i got better, and soon the 4mb limit was too little for me. It also frustrated me how there were so many cappers.. That no longer bothers me, as long as a few people hear my tunes and know my name the better.

I left NG because I started to get envolved in sites dedicated towards music soley, with bigger upload limits etc. I improved and change from using FL to Cubase and further improved, whilst working on a majour side prioject.

NEXUS RADIO - www.nexusradio.co.uk

Nexus radio is an online radio station dedicated to promoting unsigned artists from around the world. We play every gene and currently are doing 3 shows a week, and will be doing one every day soon enough.

We are also planning on turning Nexus into an OMD, with exciting music charts and an revoloutionary reviews system, as well as much much more. More features tahn any other Music orianted site has ever done before. We also will continue to promote artists from every site on the web, not just our own, which is something no other site does as well.

That being said, when chrispington informed me of the new audio portal i shot back here, because i have many tunes that i wanted to share with you fine people at newgrounds, and its always great having your tunes put in flash too.

I have started uploading some of my works from the last 2 or 3 years that i haven't been here and the 4 that are uploaded are:

Mario Anthology: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen /91932
Eat This: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen /92079
Xmas 2006: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen /92077
Hazy Life: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen /91931

I hope you enjoy the tracks, mario anthology is one of the oldest of the new ones but seems very popular.. feel free to send me a pm or email any time.

Peace out
